Focus on quality
Responsible use of resources is a top priority for us and our producers. This also means that our Neos last a really long time.
The special material used for our Neos is not conventional neoprene, even if it looks like it. This material is extremely elastic and extremely durable.
Yes, it is more expensive than similar materials, but we made the conscious decision for sustainability, quality and durability.
Vegetable oil is used instead of petroleum to produce the raw material. Since the production of the material is energy-intensive, it is produced using 100% renewable energy.
Our Neos are manufactured in Germany. Here too, quality and sustainability come before low purchasing prices.
Sustainable together
Our ISO-certified processing plant in Germany relies on the highest quality standards and obtains its electricity from company-owned solar panels.
Our textile producer in Portugal also uses solar energy and collects rainwater for the production process.
We prefer the use of organic cotton and recycled materials to underline our ecological responsibility.
Our office is also powered entirely by renewable energy and we plan to fully account for our CO2 emissions by the end of 2024 in order to make our sustainability goals transparent and measurable.
More on the subject
Why is sustainability important to us?
Why is sustainability important to us?
For us, sustainability is a way of life and an obligation without alternatives. We set out to make a positive contribution and founded neolevee to act in an authentically sustainable manner. We consistently focus on durability, quality and short routes - and not on cheap and fast. Read more in the sustainability section.
How are Neos packaged?
How are Neos packaged?
When developing the packaging for our Neos, we deliberately avoided glossy packaging and plastic. Our Neos come in organic-cotton bags that you can use for shopping, for spare clothes in your gym bag, and much more. The tissue paper and linen cord are also reusable.
Are Neos sustainable?
Are Neos sustainable?
Yes! We use high-quality materials and first-class workmanship to ensure a long service life. The raw material is manufactured exclusively using renewable energy and no petroleum is used to produce the core material.
Our processor is based in Germany and uses its own solar systems to supply energy. By sewing and finishing the Neos in Germany, we ensure the shortest possible routes and a high level of flexibility.
Do Neos contain petroleum?
Do Neos contain petroleum?
The core material of the Neos is petroleum-free. We use a special material from Japan, whose manufacturer has the highest standards of sustainability.
Only the thin outer and inner layers are made from petroleum derivatives, among other things. Even though the two layers make up a very small (volume) portion of our Neos, we are already working on the next generation.
Can I recycle Neos?
Can I recycle Neos?
Basically, our material can be recycled and used together with neoprene, for example (there are collection points for these kinds of material).
We think the following solution is better: Since there are a number of upcycling products for this type of material, we are already working on a project to take back your "old" Neos or give them to partner companies that make laptop cases, yoga mats or other products from them. We will keep you updated! If you have any questions, please contact us.
What does neolevee do to extend product life?
What does neolevee do to extend product life?
Here we focus primarily on the following topics:
- Top quality in supplier and material selection
- A high level of quality awareness at our sewing company in Germany
With the right partners, a high level of quality awareness in production and processing and the optimal combination of materials, the Neos will last for many years.
And you too can help ensure that the Neos last a long time - please note our care instructions.
How does neolevee support local communities?

As a first step, we will support local sports teams with our Neos. We have a number of other ideas that we will keep you updated about in magazine articles.
