Tips and tricks to make your Neos last!

Tipps und Tricks, damit eure Neos lange halten

Hey!

When developing the Neos, we focussed on creating a long-lasting product. To get the most out of your Neos for as long as possible, you can help too - here are a few tips for you:

  • Putting on and taking off: To minimise strain on the material, watch the video instructions on the relevant product pages.
    • Folding: Fold the Neo in half from the top towards the centre so that the inside of the upper part is facing outwards.
    • Position: Carefully pull the Neo into the correct position at the folded point. Please note that the inner material sticks due to moisture - we have done this on purpose so that the Neo does not slip. This also means that the Neo is a little more difficult to put on on sweaty parts of the body.
    • Unfold: Fold back the upper part of the Neo. Done.
    • Taking it off works in the same way, but the other way round: fold it over, take it off carefully and unfold it again.

  • Washing and drying: We recommend washing the Neos after every sports session at 30°C gentle wash. The Neo should not be put in the tumble dryer, but is best dried flat on a drying rack - and not in direct sunlight.
  • Storage: Neos can wrinkle over time, which can hardly be avoided due to the nature of the material. It is best not to store the Neos creased, but "unfolded" as shown in the photo at the bottom of the article. The creases are purely an optical issue and have no influence on the effectiveness of your Neos.
  • Reduce wrinkling: To reduce visible creasing, we recommend storing your Neo "unfolded" when not in use. As we sew our Neos in two different ways (with one seam or with two seams - calf, thigh, knee use one seam, elbow and ankle two each), here are a few more tips for you:
    • The 2-seam Neos always fall into the correct "shape" due to the two seams and lie along the seam (example: the Ankle Neo on the left in the picture)
    • Neos with one seam, on the other hand, may need a little "tugging". We recommend not folding the Neo along the seam, but laying it with the logo facing upwards, like the calf Neo in the photo on the right:

  • Initially, it is best to put a T-shirt (or something similar) on top so that the neo stays in the desired shape, as the material may tend to stretch out. This way, the creases will not form on the visible front over time.
